The Challenge

Group 4 Securicor (G4S) is a leading provider of justice services to governments in the UK, the US, the States of Jersey and the Isle of Man. G4S develops programmes and services to support criminal justice reform, offering monitoring and supervision operations and providing electronic monitoring equipment.

The G4S Electronic Monitoring Department required a solution that would enable them to convert all monitored subject related paper files, across distributed branches, to electronic format. They also wanted all branches to have central access to the electronic files. G4S needed to rollout a solution across all branches with central access to the electronic files, in a very tight timeframe.

The Solution

Kainos was selected to provide an electronic document management and scanning solution to G4S. The solution was based on Meridio’s records management product and the scanning tool was from Kofax. Together they provided an integrated solution that scanned all case related documents at branch level and then stored them securely in a central repository for immediate access across all branches. The system was fully integrated with the existing web based order management application, to facilitate the dynamic linking of documents to cases.
