Innovative products that Kainos has brought to market
Meridio (now known as Autonomy Records Management)
Kainos developed the Microsoft-based document and records management product, Meridio, which was subsequently spun out as a separate company in 2001 and has since been bought by Automony, a global enterprise search vendor.
SpeechStorm
Having deployed the most significant speech recognition solution in Ireland for eircom, Kainos developed SpeechStorm, the largest provider of speech enabled business solutions, which has won many awards for its products. Visit the SpeechStorm website.
Innovative customer solutions
Boardwalk
Kainos was asked by a client to develop a solution to channel knowledge from blogs, bulletin boards and forums to improve the quality of service and products. Kainos built an aggregation service and produced a dashboard for reports that provides a snapshot of customer sentiment at any given time.
Eye Candy
Kainos was approached by a client to explore whether facial recognition technology could assist in the reduction of the sale of alcohol to minors. We have since developed the concept into a prototype for an enhanced footfall counting system for retail outlets.
Joint ventures that Kainos has formed
PropertyNews.com
In 2000, Kainos created a joint venture with a traditional publishing company to launch PropertyNews.com – an award winning property portal for estate agencies in Northern Ireland. The site quickly became one of the most visited in Ireland with 14.5m page views a month.
Ads-venture
In 2005, Kainos formed a joint venture to provide Outdoor Advertising with a comprehensive web based system allowing more precise monitoring, tracking and fine-tuning of campaign delivery.
