It’s for this reason that this issue of Kainos News focuses on our people, specifically the quality service delivered by the Kainos business and technology consultants. Meet the MD - Brendan Mooney

Celebrating 21 years at Kainos!

At Kainos we’re proud of our staff retention rate which at 90% is significantly higher than industry average. We’ve achieved these results by having in place a robust career development structure which is underpinned by solid processes supporting the recruitment, retention and development of staff.

This year Paul Hamill and Jackie Devine celebrated their 21st anniversaries with us.

Paul, the longest serving member of Kainos staff, worked with Nortel in London before joining Kainos at its inception, just a year after graduating. A BSc Computer Science graduate, he has worked in several areas of the business and in his current role as Director of Operations he has a particular focus on HR and staff development.

Jackie Devine joined Kainos as a trainee Software Engineer in 1987. Having worked in a number of technical and team leading roles, Jackie is now responsible for heading up the Programme Office operation. Over the years Jackie has been involved in strategic changes in ownership and service focus in Kainos’ history. She has extensive experience of all aspects of service delivery in the IT sector.

What’s going on at SpeechStorm?

SpeechStorm, the speech division of Kainos, received some good news recently when their strategic partner, eircom, was awarded the top prize in the Telecoms, Media & Technology category at the Inspired IT Awards ceremony in Dublin’s Mansion House. eircom won the award for the development and implementation of a managed speech enabled business solution for AIB.
