Welcome to Kainos News, the fist edition of our online newsletter in 2008. As always there's plenty of good news to share but one of the main highlights this quarter was the success of our technology event, Spring Seminar.

Kainos was delighted to host Rod Johnson, Father of Spring, the leading open source Java framework, at their technology seminar, earlier this month. Over 120 technology professionals came along to hear Rod discuss the future of Spring and how it can benefit an organisation. The event was a huge success, so thanks to those that attended on the day.

In this edition, our customer spotlight is the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. With several new customers in the area of Document and Records Management, including Havant Council, Extract Technologies and South Lanarkshire Council, Kainos has expanded its sales and marketing efforts in this area. We'll be attending a number of eDRM events in the UK to demonstrate our ability to help organisations drive greater benefits from enterprise information.

As always, we'd like to introduce you to a few new members of the Kainos team. We recruited over 80 IT professionals last year and we continue to grow, expand and seek out talented and motivated individuals to join our growing team.

We hope you enjoy this edition of Kainos News and if you have any comments, suggestions or ideas for inclusion in the next newsletter, please get in touch.
