Customer Spotlights
In previous editions of Kainos News we put the spotlight on one specific Kainos customer. Well, due to increased customer activity this quarter, we're spotlighting four! These organisations, all from different industries across the United Kingdom, have recently implemented or are in the process of rolling out Enterprise Content Management solutions, in some shape or form.
Cushman and Wakefield, a global real estate services firm needed a new scanning and filing system to store and retrieve property related documents electronically. The new web-based system converts hard copy documents to electronic format and saves them in the correct area of SharePoint, making them easy for their employees to find. The new solution has freed up a significant amount of floor space and has made employees more productive, putting the information they need at their fingertips and responding to client enquiries faster. Extract Technology, a UK Manufacturing company asked Kainos to provide technical and business consulting on their new document and records management system implementation. Using ConnectZone, a document migration tool developed by Kainos, Extract was able to easily transfer 190,000 live documents from the their exisiting file systems into Meridio, saving significant time and effort. Kainos is currently helping Havant Borough Council to design and deliver a full document and records management solution across all Council services and sites. The solution is built using partner technology - Meridio, Kofax Ascent Capture and the K2 Workflow framework.
Meanwhile, work continues on Project Sigma, a large and complex programme of activity to replace the main computer systems for Shipowners, a London-based firm that provides liability insurance for sailing vessels.
