Kainos Secures 2nd Place in the Digital Leaders 100 Awards for Championing Digital in the Public Sector

London June 24th , 2014 Digital solutions company Kainos has again been recognised for its 'digital first' approach to delivering essential public sector services with another high ranking in the 2014 Digital Leaders 100, a prestigious list of digital innovators in the public sector. Digital Leaders, a scheme run by the Digital Leaders programme in conjunction with Digital by Default News, has awarded Kainos second place in this year's Industry category. The Industry section of Digital Leaders 100 highlights the work of businesses that have in the last 12 months created or delivered services for the public sector by leveraging technology with fully 'transformational impact.' (Kainos came in third in this roster in 2013.) Kainos is also ranked number 12 overall in the list of 100 Digital Leaders. The dynamic technology company's commitment to make transformational improvements to public sector services and to the wider society is well known. For example, the company is involved in seven of the 25 high-profile GDS exemplar projects using open source software and agile development techniques. What's more, Kainos has spearheaded a set of initiatives designed to encourage young digital talent, including 'hackathons,' coding camps and fostering the development of apps to create innovative services for the NHS and local government. Commenting on this year's higher ranking, Brian Gannon, Corporate Development Director, Kainos, said, 'We are thrilled that our work in government departments and agencies in the UK has been recognised again in such a high-profile way. 'Being recognised like this is hugely rewarding. It confirms that we are investing in our people and customers in the right ways, and that Kainos continues to be a true 'digital leader.''
