Product Manager

As a result of recent successes within the healthcare sector we are currently recruiting a Product Manager to proactively manage the ongoing development and strategic direction of the Kainos Evolve product family. Evolve is Kainos’s flagship EDM software solution for NHS Trusts. The Product Manager will be involved with the Evolve product throughout all stages of the product life cycle (conception, definition, development, release, and post-release activities) and will work closely with the Kainos Sales, Pre-sales and Marketing teams. 

This is a key appointment for Kainos and represents an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join the Kainos Evolve team and to contribute at a strategic level to our ambitious growth plans for Evolve as an EDM product targeted into the UK healthcare market.   

Our ideal candidate will be educated to degree level, with a minimum of 6 years experience in a product planning or consulting environment and at least 2 years demonstrable success in a product management role, preferably within the Healthcare market place. The successful candidate will also be required to demonstrate the following:

  • A unique blend of business and technical skills, a big-picture vision and the drive to make the Kainos vision for Evolve a reality.
  • Demonstrable evidence of building sound client relationships ideally within the healthcare market place.
  • Demonstrable experience managing projects, acting in an interface role and working under own initiative.
  • Delivers valuable advice, guidance and thought leadership to the market and maintains good Analyst relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience of business applications environments (e.g. Electronic Documents and Records Management, BPM). Knowledge of Autonomy Records Management, LiquidOffice, Teleform and SharePoint 2010 may be an advantage.   
  • Strong commercial awareness and sound understanding of project dynamics.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.

The following would also be advantageous:

  • PRINCE 2 (or similar) certification
  • Experience of Project Management/Project Management methodologies (waterfall, agile etc)
  • Experience of managing distributed teams

A high level of flexibility is required, including willingness to travel to customer sites.
