Project Manager (London)

We are currently recruiting a Project Manager to proactively manage the interaction between Kainos and its existing customers, with a focus on engagement with the customer and building trusted relationships.

With the ability to manage all aspects involved in the delivery of a solution in a complex, high-risk and pressurised environment, responsibilities will include scoping, requirements gathering, managing the project, business development and managing a delivery team.

The emphasis is on making things happen in the client’s organisation, delivering return on investment and managing joint client/Kainos teams of technical and business clients.

Our ideal candidate will be educated to degree level, with a minimum of 6 years experience in a development environment with at least 2 years demonstrable success in a project management or team leading role. Experience will include:

• Demonstrable evidence of building sound client relationships.
• Experience of business applications environments (e.g. Documents and Records Management and BPM).
• Broad technology experience and a sound awareness of technology trends
• Strong communication skills including formal presentations.
• Strong commercial awareness and sound understanding of project dynamics.
• Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.

The following would also be advantageous:

• PRINCE 2 (or similar) certification
• Experience of a variety of project delivery methods (waterfall, agile etc)
• Experience of managing distributed teams

A high level of flexibility is required, including willingness to travel to customer sites.
