BelTech 2015

Over 250 digital professionals attended BelTech2015 which was held recently at Titanic Belfast. Technology experts from global companies such as Google, Bitnet and Datasnap.io addressed delegates at the event, which is curated by digital solutions provider Kainos. Kate Atkinson, Cofounder of Datasnap.io, travelled from San Francisco to deliver the keynote address. She expressed her interest in working with companies such as Kainos in the future: 'Technology is all around us tablets, apps and devices. But, this technology is rarely an end in itself and I am interested in meaningful outcomes from its application. There are many innovative companies in Belfast and I would love to partner with some of them as we move forward with our product.' Speaking at BelTech2015, Tom Gray, Chief Technology Officer at Kainos, said: 'The technology sector in Northern Ireland is growing quickly and high profile events such as this offer opportunities for local companies to come together, network and collaborate. It is a fantastic way for us to highlight Irish digital talent and capabilities. It is vital that we continue to invest in STEM education to realise the full potential in this sector.
