Kainos Data goes to Brazil

Kainos Data and Analytics lead, Darragh McConville, has been invited to speak at the Brazil-UK Frontiers of Engineering symposium in Sao Paolo. The prestigious conference, taking place on 6-8 November, focuses on current industry trends, including the application of big data technology. The conference will bring together engineers and researchers to share cutting edge development in their respective fields. McConville will speak at the session on healthcare analytics alongside Giulio Napolitano, Senior Information Officer and Researcher at the Northern Ireland Cancer Registry (NICR). NICR is currently planning the implementation of big data analytics to gain insight into oncology datasets with the aim of improving care for cancer patients. McConville said 'We are delighted to get the opportunity to discuss our progress and thinking on analytics in healthcare. We recognise the huge potential of big data and analytics across many disciplines, but we are most excited about what can be achieved in the health domain. We're looking forward to sharing our learning with other healthcare and analytics specialists.
