As a Product Consultant you’ll be responsible for the analysis and design of bespoke software solutions, working closely with key stakeholders, business users and developers to create a fit-for-purpose product. You’ll also play a key role in establishing strong and effective client relationships. An advocate of Agile working practices, you’ll encourage Agile behaviours and promote the concept of a minimum viable product.

What you’ll do

  • You’ll facilitate workshops and discussions to effectively gather requirements and achieve a joint understanding of needs
  • You’ll analyse data to recommend service improvements and make informed decisions
  • You’ll establish functional and non-functional requirements and document them appropriately, identifying any Risks, Issues, Assumptions and Dependencies
  • You’ll work as part of a delivery team and help them gain a shared understanding of what is being built.
  • You’ll model business processes to validate that solutions are fit for purpose

Who you are:

  • You have experience in delivering bespoke software solutions to clients, with broad, relevant experience in a client facing consulting role
  • You’ve worked as part of an Agile team and have experience in delivery. Your knowledge doesn’t stop there, as you have worked with methodologies and frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban
  • You have demonstrable experience using appropriate analysis techniques
  • You like to share your experience with your team, coaching and mentoring others, as well as participating in meetups of interest or online communities.

Kainos is a professional services organisation with clients spread across the globe and we deliver projects both from client site, and from our offices. While we will attempt to base you on projects near or at your contracted office location, you need to be willing to travel to client sites and spend time away during the week if it is required.
