Kainos announces new Mobile-Enabled Healthcare platform to enhance patient care

Belfast/London/Boston August 25, 2015 Kainos Group plc ('Kainos'), the UK-based provider of IT services, announces that Kainos Evolve? has launched its Mobile-Enabled Healthcare platform, designed to give healthcare providers and carers secure access to patient information, regardless of location.
The new platform builds on the capabilities of Evolve's market-leading Electronic Medical Records (EMR) offering and enables new apps developed by Kainos, its partners and customers to store, access, process and share patient information securely. It supports easy integration with other clinical systems using healthcare interoperability standards and is accessed using mobile apps that have been developed exclusively for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Apple Watch. The new platform is available on-premise, hosted or in the cloud and is designed to meet the requirements of an increasingly diverse healthcare market, from large hospitals through to community and emergency care providers.
Kainos' commitment to Apple was reinforced at Apple's July 21, Q3 2015 conference call, where Apple's CFO Luca Maestri confirmed that Apple is working with select mobility partners, including Kainos.
Brendan Mooney, Chief Executive Officer of Kainos, commented: 'We are delighted to announce this new platform which will help deliver better healthcare outcomes at a lower cost. This is an important step for Evolve towards realising our vision to make healthcare delivery easier through technology, and we are pleased to be working with Apple at this time. As we grow our traditional customer base in the NHS and expand into new geographical markets, we see the opportunity to enable fundamental change in the delivery of care through this next generation of mobility.'
