Kainos recognised at 2017 Workplace and Employment Awards

Digital Technology provider Kainos is celebrating after being commended for its commitment to Workplace Wellbeing at the Irish News Workplace and Employment Awards (WEA). In its 11th year, the WEA celebrates organisational excellence across Northern Ireland. This is the first year that Kainos has picked up an award at this prestigious ceremony. This year's Irish News Workplace and Employment Awards received a record-breaking number of applications, and recognised 21 organisations. The ceremony, held in Belfast's Titanic Centre, saw Kainos pick up Best Workplace Wellbeing in the 'large' company category. The award was collected by Kainos' People Support Team, which leads the implementation of wellbeing initiatives across the business. Judges highlighted several innovative activities that the Kainos team has put into place, such as paid charity volunteering days for all staff, improved access to anytime staff feedback and introduction of new fast and frequent 'pulse' surveys to get real-time feedback from the business. Kainos CEO Brendan Mooney said: 'Wellbeing of our staff is really important to us, so we're really pleased to win this award. We recognise that having a healthy and supportive workplace gets the best from our people and we'll keep listening to colleagues' feedback and suggestions so that we stay on the cutting edge of workplace excellence.' This year, Kainos aims to recruit over 100 people across the UK, mainland Europe and the USA. The company recently celebrated being placed in the 'Sunday Times Top 100 Companies to Work For' list, where it received special recognition for dedication to Learning and Development.
