Kainos Takes its Place on the Scottish Procurement & Commercial Directorate (SPCD) IT Managed Services Framework

London & Belfast, May 10th, 2011 Kainos, the IT Solutions company, today announced that it has been named as one of the successful suppliers to be awarded a place on the Scottish Procurement & Commercial Directorate (SPCD), IT Managed Services Framework. The SPCD, known as Scottish Procurement, recognised the need to put in place a national framework on behalf of the Scottish Public Sector. This IT Management Services Framework is available to Scottish public sector bodies who have a diverse range of IT Managed Services needs including application and website hosting, application and website support, data hosting, desktop support, server support, disaster recovery, helpdesk services and technical partnering services. Kainos, who was awarded its place on the IT Managed Services framework alongside a small number of select suppliers, is no stranger to delivering high quality services and solutions to public sector bodies across the UK. Key health trusts, local councils and central government departments are counted amongst Kainos's most valued clients. 'It is an honour to have been selected alongside household names in IT Services and awarded our place on the SPCD IT Managed Services Framework,' commented Russell Sloan, head of Kainos's applications management division, Causeway. 'We are looking forward to extending our footprint in Scotland where we already have a number of key public sector clients including South Lanarkshire Council and West Lothian Council and to working closely with the Scottish Procurement team to deliver exceptional IT Services to the Scottish Public Sector.'
