Kainos Unveils Evolve 3; Introducing the Next-Generation EMR Solution

London & Belfast, November 7th, 2011 Kainos has today unveiled Evolve? 3, its next-generation software application for NHS Trusts. Developed in conjunction with NHS clinicians and managers, the comprehensive, purpose-built software solution takes Trusts' document management activities to the next level. Specifically, it provides a fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EMR) solution capable of accelerating the delivery of critical healthcare processes, and delivering step changes in efficiency and patient care. The unveiling of Evolve 3 has been eagerly awaited by the NHS market and in particular by the high profile Trusts that have most recently selected Evolve, including Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and Countess of Chester NHS Foundation Trust. Evolve 3 builds on Kainos's extensive experience in healthcare software implementations. The Evolve software suite is already used extensively across a range of high-profile health Trusts, including The Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust, Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology NHS Trust, West Suffolk Hospital NHS Trust and Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. For these organisations, Evolve has transformed the way medical case notes and associated documents are captured, managed and accessed by clinicians, managers and administrators, paving the way for more joined-up services and streamlined processes. This is enabling Trusts to meet strict Government targets, reduce operational costs, free up valuable staff time, and improve the quality of patient care. Evolve 3 takes these efficiencies a stage further, providing: ?? A sophisticated, integrated workflow, e-forms and reporting platform capable of accelerating critical healthcare processes; ?? Patient status management, through the use of a visual dashboard which prompts next actions as part of a patient's treatment regime; and ?? Mobile access to critical systems for clinicians on the ward and out in the community. Commenting on the announcement, Deirdre O'Neill, head of the Evolve healthcare division at Kainos, said, 'We are thrilled to be unveiling this important, next-generation release of our flagship Evolve solution for healthcare. We have enjoyed huge take-up of Evolve since its launch, taking us to close to a dozen Trusts that have standardised on our solution.' Deirdre continues, 'We are also delighted with our recent high profile award wins which include Best Public Sector Project of the year at the DM awards for the implementation of Evolve at Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust, and the prestigious EHI Awards where Ipswich was selected as a finalist in the 'Outstanding work in IT-enabled Change in Healthcare' award category with Evolve. To be able to extend that success and offer Trusts a full EMR solution is very exciting, and will multiply the benefits for healthcare providers.'
