Helping our customers accelerate their digital transformation through our expertise in cloud-native
I am delighted to expand our partnership with VMware to become only the 3rd UK based partner to achieve the Cloud Native Master Services Competency. Gaining the Cloud Native Master Services Competency validates that our cloud practice possesses a deep understanding of Kubernetes core concepts, the software development lifecycle (DevOps) and are proficient in container networking and security across all industries.
So why VMware and why now?
In recent years VMware has placed significant focus on embracing Open Source technologies and with a number of acquisitions including Pivotal Labs [of Cloud Foundry fame], they have created a formidable ecosystem of container-based services with Kubernetes at its core, VMware Tanzu. Our partnership will be focusing on VMware Tanzu specifically and how we help customers modernise to benefit from cloud-native technologies.
What it means to our customers
Over the last number of years, cloud-native technologies have been transforming how digital services are built, deployed and operated.
Most of our customers have VMware based platforms and having the ability to seamlessly introduce container-based services alongside their existing VM based platforms is a massive advantage. Seamlessly creating hybrid cloud deployments leveraging hosted VMware services on AWS or Microsoft Azure or using native container platforms including Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), customers can readily integrate with new container-based services, helping them reduce costs, become more agile and increase security.
For us, this competency means that we can now help existing VMware customers modernise existing applications through cloud-native technologies and approaches using a hybrid hosting model which moves at a pace that suits them.
