Earlier this month Kainos reached the significant milestone of 300+ Microsoft certifications - with 147 Microsoft certified individuals bringing that range of expertise to Kainos customers.

Jing X, a Kainos Security Architect, has achieved 3 of those certifications as part of her commitment to, and investment in, building Kainos' capability and expertise around cloud applications.

"Kainos encourages us to prioritise training and certification as part of our career strategy. In fact, it goes way beyond mere encouragement - they invest in great platforms that give us easy access to the courses and exams we need and ensure we have the capacity to invest in that education," explained Jing.

Jing's certifications include Microsoft Azure Security Technologies, Microsoft Security Operations Analyst and Microsoft 365 Certified Security Administrator Associate.

"When it comes to Cloud Transformation, many of our customers are seeing the move from legacy on-premise technology to the cloud environment as the opportunity to really address gaps in their security tooling. But it’s a fast-moving industry with a steep learning curve.

"Microsoft is doing a lot of ambitious work in the security space - moving very fast to keep ahead of all manner of threats to its customers. It can be a challenge keeping up to date with the latest developments, but the Certifications provide a great structure to both keep ahead of the threats and getting the work done."

"In this rapid industry, it can be challenging for organisations to keep current on every new technology development and opportunity in addition to other business priorities. This is why our partners, with their deep specialist expertise, play such an important role in customer success," commented Derrick McCourt, General Manager, Customer Success Unit, Microsoft UK. "Kainos' investment in certifications plays double dividends - it contributes to their Advance Specialisation status, a validation of their expertise and experience, while also ensuring their Architects can apply the most advanced tooling on every customer project."

Jing highly recommends looking at all the resources available from Microsoft to start working towards your next certification. "While I had project management experience, I wanted to extend my knowledge into new areas. The UK Partner Skills resource puts all your options at your fingertips. With so many free resources there is no reason not to invest in your personal growth."
