Hilti wins inaugural Workday ‘Powering Innovation’ award with Kainos Employee Document Management
Kainos extends its congratulations and gratitude to Hilti on winning the ‘Powering Innovation’ award at Workday Rising EMEA. Hilti’s design support, deployment, and use of Kainos Employee Document Management (Kainos EDM) helped the company secure the honour during Workday’s first ever Customer Awards ceremony.
Hilti, the first design partner for Kainos EDM, supplies the worldwide construction and energy industries with technologically leading products, systems, software, and services. With approximately 33,000 team members in over 120 countries, the company stands for direct customer relationships, quality, and innovation.

Hilti deployed Kainos EDM to address its challenges in generating, managing, and storing employee documents and templates. The results have been transformative – Hilti has massively reduced the manual effort required for employee document production, turnaround time and management.
With Kainos EDM’s ability to configure document retention and purging rules at a granular level, Hilti now have over half a million documents managed in a compliant way inside Workday. This measure of success is only set to increase further, demonstrating the value of true workplace innovation and Hilti’s commitment to reducing operational burden on its HR population.
Damien Taylor, Director of Products at Kainos, said of the accolade, “We’re delighted that Hilti won the Powering Innovation award at Workday Rising – it’s truly well deserved. Hilti’s vision and knowledge was instrumental in shaping Kainos Employee Document Management and working with the team as design partners has been an amazing experience—pure innovation that will continue to help Workday customers solve challenges close to their business and create new efficiencies for growing organisations.”
