No Stopping Kainos Evolve As Live Implementations among UK NHS Hospitals Triple
London, UK - October 3rd , 2012 Hot on the heels of the announcement that it has been shortlisted for two major Document Management Awards, thriving technology company Kainos has reported a flurry of activity among its clients in the healthcare sector where the company's specialist EMR solution, Evolve, is targeted. Evolve, a next-generation electronic medical record (EMR) solution, is now live at six major UK hospitals, with three - Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology NHS Foundation Trust, Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - having completed their implementations in the last few months. To have so many systems go live in such a short space of time is testament to the perceived and already demonstrated value of the Kainos technology. The latest roll-outs are in addition to early reference sites The Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust and West Suffolk Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, whose Evolve-enabled transformations have inspired numerous other hospitals to take up the Evolve technology. Later this year, two further hospitals will go live with their Evolve implementation. A major London hospital has also just signed a contract to purchase the solution. Although many of these transformations have started from a point of scanning and digitising active patient records so that they can be shared more readily and stored and managed more efficiently, each of the projects has soon become more ambitious as the hospital's imagination has been ignited by the additional benefits of working with electronic medical records. Developed in partnership with NHS clinicians and managers, Evolve Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is a sophisticated workflow, e-forms and reporting platform, accelerating healthcare processes and ensuring they are completed systematically. An intuitive visual dashboard displays a patient's status and medical history, ensuring that no background information or vital step in providing care is missed. Commenting on Kainos's busy project pipeline, Deirdre O'Neill, Head of Evolve, said, 'With so many challenging targets to meet and severe budget restrictions, NHS hospitals need to be particularly shrewd in their investments at the moment. Evolve meets that need head on, delivering transformational change in a highly efficient and direct way. It is fantastic to see so many projects reaching completion, with one system going live after another.'
