Kainos is pleased to announce that it has been awarded Microsoft Gold competency in Cloud Platform, solidifying its position as a leading Microsoft partner in cloud solutions.

Kainos has been delivering cloud services and platforms across UK central government and private sector organisations for several years. These comprise the technology underpinning high profile government services such as the Register to Vote service, which allows citizens to sign up on line to the electoral roll, and the Group's award-winning Evolve platform which has digitised millions of patient records in the NHS. These complex technology solutions make it easier for citizens to conduct day to day business, and save millions of pounds for the taxpayer.

Kainos has worked successfully with Microsoft for over 20 years, and earning Gold competency for Cloud marks another milestone in the relationship. The award recognises that Kainos has proven ability and expertise to provide SaaS solutions built on Microsoft's Azure platform. To achieve this level of competency, Kainos staff needed to be accredited as Microsoft Certified Professionals by taking a demanding examination. In addition, Kainos needed to showcase selected Azure-based solutions that it has implemented for clients. In particular, the Group needed to prove its ability to deliver very large programmes, meeting high-volume performance and cloud consumption targets.

Russell Sloan, Director of the Kainos Digital Services division said: 'I'm delighted that we have achieved Microsoft Gold status in Cloud Platform. We are seeing increasing demand for cloud solutions from our customers, and having this accreditation confirms our credibility and capability to deliver high-performing, secure Azure solutions. I'm excited about the potential of our partnership with Microsoft it will increase our ability to help customers realise savings and improve the way they do business using the cloud.'

The award also means that Kainos will benefit from access to exclusive technical training and expertise on advanced Microsoft technology. This will strengthen the Group's dominant position as a leading source of highly skilled WebOps engineers across the UK.
