Throughout my placement, I was treated like a really valuable Kainos employee, not like a student. I have learned new skills and perfected what I already knew. When I go back to university, I can say with confidence that I am going to perform very well. It was the placement year that gave me that confidence to succeed.
The main thing I noticed on my placement was that we weren’t treated as students. Within the team or in social aspects of the company, everyone’s opinion mattered. The support I felt was amazing and I am extremely excited to see where it will take me in the years to come.

When I first joined Kainos I was given a four-week introduction training course, where I learned the basics in a wide range of languages some of which include Java, SQL & HTML. Everyone has been very helpful and willing to help me learn whenever I am introduced to new technologies.
