Kainos Launches Smart Shield, Data Masking for Workday
Kainos has today launched Smart Shield, the intelligent data-masking solution for Workday. With this latest addition to the award-winning Smart product suite, organisations can now perform comprehensive masking to restrict visibility of all sensitive data in Workday.
At Kainos, we are in the fortunate position to work with hundreds of Workday customers of varying sizes and industry. One of the most frequent areas of feedback we receive relates to a need to have full data masking in Workday Sandbox tenants.
Non-production environments, like Sandbox, often contain real data to allow administrators, configuration consultants, trainers and testers to perform their day-to-day tasks, but elevated access to non-production tenants often gives users access to much more data than they require.
Smart Shield has been designed to provide a complete masking solution for non-production tenants.
Smart Shield masks information across all fields in Workday and makes it easy for organisations to control what information users can and cannot see. It allows data masking while using the Workday proxy feature and also provides the ability to quicky revert back to real data when required.
It has been designed to meet the specific needs of different departments and functions including finance, HR, audit, IT and third-party Workday Services partners.
