Kainos shortlisted in UK IT Awards 2014

Kainos is delighted to be shortlisted for the UK IT Industry Awards, which recognise projects that have excelled in the use, development and deployment of IT and digital technology in the past 12 months. Kainos received this nomination for work with the DVLA on the 'View Driving Licence' project. Find out more about the project here. Kainos and DVLA worked together using agile development, open source and secure cloud hosting, to deliver a cost-efficient and reusable digital service allowing drivers to check their licence information online. This pioneering digital service, now accessible to the public and expected to be used by over 6m drivers each year, is an early government 'Exemplar' showcase project and has drawn attention from across Government and internationally. The UK IT Industry Awards will take place on Wednesday 12th November at the Battersea Park Events Arena in London and is one of the largest and most prestigious awards in the industry. To put the scale of this achievement in perspective, Kainos faces competition in the category from such giants as British Gas and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
