Kainos appointed to Scottish Digital Services new Dynamic Purchasing System

Kainos, one of the UK's leading digital services and digital platforms companies, has been appointed to the new Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), the first of its kind for the public sector in Scotland. Available to Scottish public sector organisations since late October, the fully electronic DPS system will enable more efficient provision of digital and cyber security services. The service was prompted by the Scottish Government's recognition of the significant growth in demand for digital services as identified in its Digital Strategy. The DPS gives organisations access to a wider range of digital technology suppliers, enabling the procurement of digital projects to be delivered in an agile way. The system will go some way to mitigate the skills gap and further support cyber security considerations. Kainos is now approved to supply digital services, digital resources and cyber security services. Kainos has extensive experience of helping public sector agencies in Scotland and across the UK to deliver the Government's digital agenda. This includes delivering end-to-end digital transformation from discovery to live, supporting digital enablement, thereby helping agencies and departments to build their digital skills. Kainos is highly experienced in providing cyber security services, with expertise that encompasses training, security testing, management services and digital forensics. To date, Kainos has been involved in 7 of the 25 UK Government digital exemplar projects delivered, and more than 50 digital transformation projects UK wide; their work has positively impacted 55 million UK citizens. Kainos has delivered innovative digital services for key government agencies and departments including Student Awards Agency Scotland, DVSA, DVLA, the Home Office, the Welsh Government, NI Civil Service, MOJ and DWP. Russell Sloan, Divisional Director of Digital Services at Kainos, said 'We're delighted to be one of the first to qualify for the DPS system and we look forward to working with agencies across the Scottish public sector in an even more efficient way to help deliver their Digital Strategy. With expertise and vast experience in digital services, digital resources and cyber security, we're best placed to deliver comprehensive IT services in a collaborative, iterative way'.
