Health Hack Dublin Promises a Powerhouse of Innovation

Dublin & Belfast, 13th June, 2013 - Healthcare professionals are gearing up to meet their technological matches and to make their ideas a reality at Health Hack Dublin which takes place on 22nd and 23rd June.
The event will bring healthcare professionals and innovative developers and designers together to collaborate on solutions that will empower patients in the digital age.
Clinicians and health care managers from all over Ireland have signed up to Health Hack Dublin.
Doctors, nurses, midwives, pharmacists, radiologists and healthcare professionals in the areas of senior care, home care, mental health, stress and the treatment of trauma will be presenting what they see as their biggest challenges and the way forward. Health Hack Dublin will see the creation of apps and platforms that will transform the provision of nursing and health care.
An exciting dynamic of new ideas and collaboration is building. Ideas are already being discussed through online forums between various health leads, entrepreneurs and developers. The possibilities and the potential for development and for radical change are endless.
Teams will have less than 48 hours to deliver on their projects and it promises to be a powerhouse of innovation with brilliant results. Prizes will be awarded in a number of categories ranging from Quality of Care to Productivity in Health, to Potential to Make a Billion.
Health Hack Dublin is organised by the Irish Computer Society (ICS) with support from Kainos, Northern Ireland Connected Health Innovation Centre (CHIC) and EMC and will take place in ICS, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 from 10.30am on Saturday, 22nd June to 3.00pm on Sunday, June 23rd.
