Kainos Listed as Specialist Cloud Services Provider on Government G-Cloud iii

London June 10th, 2013 Thriving technology company Kainos has been confirmed as a registered supplier of specialist cloud services on the latest iteration of the Government's G-Cloud procurement framework. Through the updated channel, where Kainos is listed under Lot 4: Specialist Cloud Services, the company is now offering 23 different services. This is a significant increase from the three services it was listed for under the same heading on G-Cloud ii. The first G-Cloud framework was launched in February 2012. Since then, it has developed to provide an innovative and streamlined procurement process, making it easier for public sector organisations to procure solutions from specialist technology suppliers. The Government's CloudStore, a transparent and competitive marketplace, now offers over 3,200 cloud services. These generated business worth more than £4m to the end of December 2012, with over 60% of this going to SME suppliers. The updated G-Cloud iii framework represents an increase in the total value of potential spend through this channel to £200m, up from £100m, the Government reports.
