Russell Sloan, Kainos Digital Services Director, has been named as one of this year’s Belfast Business Top 50 at a celebratory gala dinner held in Belfast City Hall on Friday 6th October.

Hosted by Belfast Media Group, the awards recognise the people and companies that are pioneering and driving business in Belfast, commending and honouring those who are resilient in championing our changing city despite the challenges of the economic climate. The list is comprehensive and diverse, featuring every kind of business person, from entrepreneurs, small business owners and corporate executives, and from across the spectrum of industry.

Russell’s inclusion reflects his high profile role at Kainos’, entrepreneurial leadership and the company’s economic success.

Having joined the company in 1999 as a Software Engineer, Russell has progressed rapidly to a senior position, accepting the challenge of developing Kainos’ public sector offering in 2012. Today, Russell heads up Digital Services and has been instrumental in securing Kainos position as an Exemplar supplier to UK government, playing a key role in delivering the ‘digital-by-default’ agenda. Russell leads around 500 people delivering digital transformation for central and devolved government in the UK and private sector organisations in the UK and Ireland.

The award is further evidence of how Russell’s leadership style is key to Kainos’ on going dynamic growth and success. Russell says: “I am honoured to be in the Top 50 for 2017 and among very talented, ambitious people. It’s inspiring to see the role we all play in helping Belfast to compete on the world stage and gives me even greater confidence for the future. Here at Kainos, I’ll continue to focus on our talent, building the team of brilliant, diverse people who really drive our strategy, execution and growth”.
