Kainos expands its Workday services operations in Europe with senior appointment and new office in Germany

Belfast, London, Frankfurt 6 March 2017 Kainos Group plc, a leading provider of Digital Services and Platforms, announces today that it has opened a new office in Germany to help accelerate the expansion of its fast-growing Workday services business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH region). Based in Frankfurt, Kainos Worksmart GmbH will serve the company's customer base for Workday Inc., a leader in enterprise cloud applications for finance and human resources. The company has appointed Mr. Rainer Maier, a former Siemens AG executive, as country manager to oversee Kainos's growth in the region. Immediately prior to joining Kainos, Mr. Maier was DACH Country Manager at DayNine, where he established and led a successful Workday services practice. 'We've seen significant traction throughout the DACH region and our new German office is extremely strategic for us as we expand our presence across Europe,' said Malachy Smith, head of the WorkSmart division in Kainos. 'Rainer's appointment gives Kainos a wealth of experience in building global services for enterprises and complements our existing successful operation in the Netherlands.' 'This is an exciting time for Workday and Kainos, especially as German, Austrian and Swiss enterprises are increasingly faced with the real challenges of doing business globally,' said Mr. Maier. 'Successful finance and HR transformations are often complicated by regional market requirements and regulations. Kainos offers the best of both worlds a partner that is locally experienced and present in key global markets.'
