Kainos, a leading provider of digital services to clients in the public, private and healthcare sectors around the world, has been shortlisted in the Best Use of AI category in the upcoming Computing AI and Machine Learning Awards.

The Computing AI & Machine Learning Awards are designed to recognise the best companies, individuals and projects operating in the AI space today across every specialism, including security, ethics and data analysis. The awards also showcase innovation and highlight projects that are deserving of industry-wide praise.

Kainos' shortlisting in the Best Use of AI category is recognition of the company's commitment to helping customers harness the power of AI. It is also evidence of the dedication and investment Kainos has made in developing its AI practice and investing in the next generation of talent.

The Kainos AI practice has been involved in helping customers across the public, private and healthcare sectors innovate, reduce costs and extract better value from their data by using natural language processing and machine learning. The growing team has been involved in delivering award-winning AI services - including fraud detection for DVSA, document processing for an NHS trust and insights extraction for an investment management technology company.

Kainos has also been fundamental in driving understanding and adoption of AI across sectors and curated AICon - a conference for world-leading technologists and business leaders, to encourage new ways of thinking and establish best practices. The inaugural 2019 event attracted 500+ professionals.

Peter Campbell, Head of AI Practice, Kainos said: 'We are delighted to have been shortlisted once again at the Computing AI & Machine Learning Awards. AI has been a strategic focus for the business and we've invested heavily over the last few years. This shortlisting is testament to the progress we have made in becoming a reputable and innovative AI provider. Full credit to my colleagues in the AI practice who continue to deliver fantastic value for our customers by solving real-world problems.'

Winners will be announced on Tuesday the 20th of October at a special online ceremony.
