Product Disco: how to, and how not to do product discovery!
26 March 19
Time: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Location: Kainos
Join the London Product Community for a brand-new meetup to really 'discover' product. The first event will focus on the basics of product discovery - how to run them. how to do them well and what to avoid, from speakers who have experienced it all!

Sounds good - what will I expect to hear about?

Join us to hear some of our expert speakers talk about:
    • Using Discovery to understand strategic priorities: developing the NHS App
      • Looking at how a discovery methodology can be used to understand strategic priorities, and how the principles of value-driven development can be lived at all levels within an organisation. Combining user research insights with long-term priorities in an extremely diverse stakeholder environment to ensure that the right things are developed, at the right time. Delivered by Dan Kemp, Kainos Product Lead
  • How to take a hypothesis driven approach to Discovery
      • How do you apply a hypothesis driven approach to Discovery for a common component that is affecting the entire digital programme and potentially the industry as a whole?  We will cover ways to mitigate multiple dependencies whilst still delivering value that can be quantified and measured.  Delivered by Jayti Thakker, Kainos Product Consultant
  • Discovery on a live service: improving your experience of UK Passports
      • What do you when a product/service is large enough that a single Discovery won’t be enough? In this presentation, we will cover continually running discoveries where a product has been sliced up into multiple features with multiple teams working on those features. Using the example of the UK Passport service where this is embedded into our ways of working we will discuss how you could implement this in your organisation. Delivered by Chirag Agarwal, Kainos' Head of Product for Home Office Passport Service
  • Here be dragons! How not to run a discovery
      • No one discovery is ever the same but they all have similar traps which can derail them.  We will explore these traps and look at techniques on how to avoid them. Delivered by Alison Coote, Kainos Product Leader
Be prepared to ask our speakers anything in the Q&A portion of the evening! Registration is now open!
